Suhaani Srireddy

Suhaani Verma Srireddy, born in Maryland and brought up in Austin, TX, has been learning Odissi under the guidance of her Guru Smt. Aparupa Chatterjee since 2015. Her first encounter with Odissi was at age 7, when she watched Dr. Chatterjee and her students perform at an Austin event in 2014. Totally awestruck by the dance form, she decided to join classes a few months later.

Suhaani is passionate about all things dance. In addition to Odissi, she also takes classes in Kathak, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Contemporary. She participated in the 2019 Kala Darpan India Dance Fest showcasing a solo Odissi piece and has also taken part in Kelucharan Guna Keertanam annually. Over the past few years, she has enjoyed sharing her love for Odissi dance by performing in her school, and in local temples for various events in Austin. She joined the Odissi Dance Company in 2021 and looks forward to dedicating her time and effort towards her dance journey. She is currently a student at Canyon Vista Middle School and is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. She is also an avid girl scout and member of the Girl Advisory Board for the Girl Scouts of Central Texas.
