Yashaswini Raghuram, hailing from Bangalore, India, began her journey into Indian classical dance at a young age of 9. Under the tutelage of Smt. Shubha Dhananjay, she studied Bharatanatyam for 10 years in India. In the University of Texas, Dallas, she became a disciple of Dr. Smt. Aparupa Chatterjee, and has been training under her in the Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Gharana of Odissi since then. Yashaswini is the assistant Director, Treasurer and Repertory Dancer of Odissi Dance Company.
​Her most noted Odissi performances include, Odissi international 2016, Dallas Samsarga Festival, Baal Dan charity festival, San Antonio City Lights Festival, Portland India Festival, Portland Kalakendra Nrityotsava 2017, Spicmacay Festival, Kelucharan Guna Keertanam, North American Odissi Convention, America’s Got Talent, etc. Yashaswini is actively involved in dance event management and assisted Dr.Chatterjee in conducting the 3rd and 4th North American Odissi Convention in Texas. She also curated Nritya Shubha Dance Festival 2017 in Portland promoting Indian classical dance and also propagating Odissi in Portland. Yashaswini received the ‘Top 10 Talent Search’ from a global pool of dancers at the International Odissi Festival in Odisha, India in 2017. She is an assistant faculty of ODC.
